I finally got around to getting the new website theme online but have more work to do to finalize it. Unfortunatelyl it’s getting rather late here (just hit 1AM) and I’m tired so the rest of the change over will have to wait until tomorrow.
Just a quick update that the new WordPress Website Theme I am working on is coming along nicely and should have it live this weekend.
Just wanted to get a message out that I am working on getting a new WordPress theme for my website. Probably start moving over to it this weekend and a lot of posts, pictures, etc. will either be out of whack or missing until the move is completed.
While going through Rockable Press ebook titled How to be a Rockstar WordPress Designer, to refresh my memory since it’s been quite awhile, I came up with a theme similar to the one in their book but with different twists. So I thought I would offer it as a free Photoshop Theme to anyone who would like it.
I started with my idea using Adobe Fireworks CS4 to create the wireframe, then exported the individual pages to Photoshop and continued with the styling. Basically the same layer styles from the above mentioned book but with different twists.
I do plan on making it into a HTML theme then followed by the WordPress theme itself so please check back if you’re interested as I’ll have those published in the near future. If you have any comments or questions please feel free to post a comment, thanks!

Here are some screen shots of the theme, probably should have added them when I posted.
After purchasing some WordPress templates from Theme Forest I’ve been noticing most, if not all of them, have been created within Photoshop. I’ve always built websites using Fireworks but am interested in selling some themes on Theme Forest so figured it’d be a good idea for me to run through some tutorials to see how the experts do it.
So a week or two ago I happened to notice this wasp kicking back in a flower outside my home. I’ve always been interested in photography, but mostly as a random hobby and far from being an expert, so when I see something like this I think to myself that it might make an interesting picture. So I went back inside and grabbed my camera to take a few shots.
Awhile back I was downloading multiple Photoshop brushes from Psdtuts+ since I’m a subscribed member and, don’t recall the brush I was using for this, ended up creating something I thought was pretty cool looking. It kind of resembles a butterfly or moth and really had no idea I was creating that. All I was doing was clicking once, rotating the brush 90 degrees and clicking trying to line them up. After I had gone through all the brushes in the set I said, wow!
