This was a unique job some friends wanted me to do to help us stay in touch with people we meet through online games. It’s a closed community, but I (and my friends) were very happy with the outcome of the style.
Using WordPress for the front end of the website and phpBB for the forums, I had to create a custom template for WordPress then an additional custom template for phpBB (importing the WordPress style to save time). The site uses an old integration plugin to synchronize users between both web applications.
The sites style is very clean and readable, the header bar has a fantastic but subtle hexagon image which fades away towards the bottom, this depicts the old style pencil and paper games (D&D) and other strategy PC games which utilized this map layout.
